His career began with Sussex Police, where he rose to the rank of Superintendent, commanding over 500 officers and staff and overseeing specialist units including firearms, child protection, and emergency response.
Trevor went on to serve as Chief of Police in Saint Helena before becoming Commissioner of Police in the Turks and Caicos Islands, making him one of the few to have held the top policing role in two UK Overseas Territories. Richard played a central role in designing and delivering firearms and close protection training, overseeing counter-terrorism exercises, and introducing new specialist firearms capabilities. His operational experience includes providing close protection for members of the Royal Family and senior government figures, as well as planning and commanding large-scale multi-agency operations.
